Saturday, December 5, 2009 11:08 PM
Okay, it's really my apologies. Since so many of you can't make it, and since the weather forecast says that on 7th Dec, There will be thunderstorm with thunder, WE CAN'T SWIM.
So, we'll change the date to 8th. 1 day later. Does that sound more reasonable? HAHAHA. There will be showers. (At least better than thunderstorm.)
Okay. Those who can come, come. Those who cannot, next year bah :D HAHAHA. It's impossible to find a date where everyone can make it you see.
So uh. Yes. If you have any problems, please contact me at the class tagboard. LOL.
7:56 PM
Uh, response not very good for this outing. It's like many out of town, not free, and so on. But how come the polls, is like 7th&8th the most votes? :l
Hope things turn out better.
So far, these are the people attending:
Javier Yen Jie Teng Leong Sze Wen Serene And myself.
And so I realise, 6. Pathetic enough.
Okay, now the prices: Adult: $15.50 Child (3-12 years): $10.50
DAYLIGHT ROBBERY! LOL. I didn't realise that we're ADULTS already. Lucky for those whose birthdays not here? Oh anyway, if you are a NTUC member, you get cheaper tickets. Each union member is entitled to "NTUC Member" rates for himself/herself and a maximum of 4 accompanying guests. And the ntuc member has to be present. LOL. My mother and ahma are members. Can I fake to be them? HAHAHHA. Or maybe, we'll pretend to be senior citizens and get free admission into www. HAHAHHA. Enough of nonsense!
Me again.
7th December!
Saturday, November 28, 2009 10:11 PM
Okay, since many agreed on 7th, let's have it on that date then! Okay, let me summarise it.
Venue: Wild Wild Wet. Date:7th December 09. Time: 1-7 pm. (Estimated) Place to meet: Hmmm? Lavender / hougang? (Will discuss again.)
Okay, finally. (: Hope you guys turn up.
Sujata.
Outing.
Wednesday, November 25, 2009 3:21 PM
Okay, since 7 & 8 has the same amount of votes, shall we have it on 7th? Get things settled quickly. (:
Are there any objections? If there are, please comment on the tagboard. Thank you.
Uh, I have tuition at Fu Lu Shou Complex until 1 on that day :x HAHA. So hmmm. Shall we have it like at 1.30? 1.30 meet, then play until 7? LOL. Please discuss this on the tagboard. :D
Votes.
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 6:40 PM
YAY. 7 & 8 Dec is winning! (: (LOL.)
Wild Wild Wet.
Friday, November 13, 2009 10:57 PM
Ok! We have came to a decision.
WE WILL BE GOING TO WILD WILD WET! :D
Chill for those who didn't vote for this. But since we have already about half the class voting, and majority goes to WWW.
However, the dates will change. I'll make another poll.
THANK YOU FOR VOTING, PUNKSTERS! :D
Oh anyway, the reason why you don't see "17 Nov" is because I think that it will be too rush to inform everyone and stuff like that. I have enabled the multiple voting. HAPPY VOTING! I seek your understanding.
Oh yes and, what time do you think is the suitable time to swim? HAHA. Discuss at the dead cbox! :D
-Me, again. (& Idk why is the font so big. It looks okay on template.)
Class relay system!
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 7:57 PM
OH AND ONE MORE THING! We are setting up a class relay system. Please do me a favor by sending me a message, with your name at the bottom.
This is urgent.
My number is 94889081. (I know it's dangerous revealing it.) Please just send me a message with your name, and that's it. It's simple, isn't it? If you don't, you have alternatives, definitely.
You can msn me at sujata13@hotmail.com your handphone number. Otherwise, you can also tag me at my blog. (The worst alternative. It's dangerous.)
So, preferably, send me a message/msn. Thank you for your cooperation. I know you guys can do it.
Well, if you don't cooperate, I have my ways. :l I will inform you guys about the plannings for this relay system. But most probably, it will be for example: Sean -> Sujata -> Nelly, then Nelly have to send it back to Sean so that Sean knows that the relay msg is sent down successfully. And when I received the message from Sean, I have to reply him "I got it / etc." before sending it on to Nelly. So anyway, if you have any problems/questions, message/msn me. (LOL.) Okay.
People whose number (Hp.) I don't have:
Shu Yun.
Yan Lin.
Siu Seng.
Yao Liang.
Meng Qi.
Tian Yi.
Sheng Xian.
Jin Hao.
If you know any of their handphone numbers, you inform tell me. Thank you. And the rest are those not updated ones.
All the best and turn up for the gathering!
-Sujata. (again.)
Codes.
7:45 PM
Sorry, and regarding the pictures at our profiles, PLEASE HELP. I don't know which code I should delete! HAHHAA.
Okay thanks. -Sujata.
Votinggggg.
7:38 PM
Okay now. First of all, I'll tell you what we can do at East Coast Park & Wild Wild Wet.
For East Coast Park,
Rent a bike.
Rent a Rollerblade.
Swim.
Build sand castles.
Play beach games.
Do In-line skating.
Have a picnic.
For Wild Wild Wet, basically, it's pretty obvious. There are games over there catered for us already. Like the huge slide, etc. After that, we might be eating at the KFC there.
The time for both might be from mid afternoon to later evening.
So, please have your votes on the right hand side of the blog again! :D Thank you. Definitely, the highest one will win.
But, I do not wish to see people voting twice or more, unless it's for the dates, where you are available for more than 1 date. Anyway, there will be a another gathering. (: If ECP is the choice, WWW might be for next year. If WW is chosen, ECP will be for next year. So there is no point for an option so desperately. Yes, that is simple. SO HURRY NOW AND VOTE!
Me again, Sujata.
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 12:56 PM
Hi Punksters. I would like you cooperation by just voting at the poll on the right hand side of the class blog.
FOR THE SAKE OF CONVENIENCE FOR EVERYONE, PLEASE INVITE OTHER PUNKSTERS AND YOURSELF TO VOTE! :D
Then after that, we can play until our head drop okay? xD I have seen that there are more votes already. So please help the class committee by asking those who aren't aware of this outing to VOTE VOTE VOTE!
And for your information, there are 2 polls. 1 regarding the venue, and 1 regarding the date!
Thank you! :D
Tuesday, November 3, 2009 8:26 PM
Hello 6Punk! I have seen the deadly condition of our class blog. WE NEED TO REVIVE IT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! D':
So, we have planned a class outing specially for nice people like you. Do attend, but before that, we need a suitable place and date and time. On the right of the class blog, there is a section for you guys to vote. Please vote for where is convenient and appropriate. Of course the one with most votes wins lah. :D HAHAHA.
Anyway, do encourage more people to go to the outing. (As you know, we don't get to contact everyone because this poll determines almost all the arrangements made.) So, first of all, ask more 6Punks to come to this blog on a regular basis to revive and update this blog on our tag board.
Do give more suggestions to, if you have any. However, don't give to many or else our range gets too large. HAHA. So anyway, I hope you guys did well for your EOYs, or at least tried your bests. (: I look forward to see how much you have grown! :D See you guys soon.
- Sujata.

HELLO 6Punksters. :D Okay, I'm trying to revive this blog, after viewing one of my fairfield classmate's class blog. { I felt bad LOL. } Um I think that we should give ourselves more time for bonding. I don't want us to fall apart! Keep in touch, is the word, yeah. C'mon guys, let's have another class gathering. Why don't we guys make it on our Secondary School's CNY celebration? Hmmm Nanhua's is on the 23rd January. Yeah, so shouldnt them all be on the same date? ;x Oh yes, I think that some of the HIHSians told me that there will not be any CNY celebrations in your school yeah, hmmm so I see ;o HAHA weird. This time, I want to see everyone there :D LOL. EVERYONE, yes everyone. I'm sure we can make it. ;D Let's grab those who are already trying to flee. HAHA. Hmmm as time pasts, I miss you guys D': LOL. I'm starting to miss the giggles, and stupid things we had done together LOL. Okay, let me stop all the missing thing { How mushy } Rofl. So, about that gathering thing, Shall we make it on 23rd January 2009, after school time again? Is it possible? Or shall we make it on another day? LOL! Let's beat 6R man. Show them how bonded we can actually go :l HAHA. Let their eyes pop out, and never put them back on again. Okay? Is it alright 6P?! Answers: Okay! Is it okay 6P?! Answers: Alright! Good. Let's chill!
Signing off, Sujata, {Doraemon -.-}

Well, perhaps, I shall answer my own question to INITIATE, I AM FINE, SUPER FINE at Cedar! ;D Cedar is superb! Guess what? Yesterday is the release of 'O' level results, am I right? The entire Cedar were just so elated upon knowing that the 2008 sec 4 girls, aka 'The Magnificant Class of 2008' broke the record in Cedar's 52-year history in the 'O' level(meaning they got the best set of results in 52-year history in Cedar!). Cedar has band 1 for consecutive 6 years! (including this year)! Our average L1R5(am i correct?) is 9.04 for this year! WOOHOO! What's more??? We had half-day school today for celebration of this wonderful news! YIPEEEEEEEEE! !!! Anyway, for your info, if you wanna come Cedar, look for ME! I am in 1/I aka 1icecream/1iscream! My classroom is the first classroom located on the first floor! Sooooo, ain't it super convenient to look for me?? Not being arrogant, but I am really proud of my SENIORS! I ALSO WANNA ACHIEVE A BAND 1 SCORE FOR 'O' LEVEL!(it will be even better if I beat Mdm Choong[SHE GOT 5!!! OMG!]!!) lols ;D jiayou 6punksters! ;D NELLY!!!!;D

#19:How to memorise.
Friday, August 22, 2008 9:30 PM
Here's how to memorize anything you need.
Steps
Sit in a quiet room with good lighting.
Look for patterns, familiar elements, and other ways to break the material into groups of three to four familiar elements (if possible) and annotate these observations as you go. Do not force any patterns and stop looking before substantial effort is required for this step. Forced familiarity is compulsory learning; see the tips section below.
Investigate and note intuitive relationships between the elements and your own experience. The relationships need not be rational, only memorable (interesting, funny, enjoyable) and inspirational.
Read the first object.
Say it without the paper.
Read the first and second object.
Repeat them out loud until you are able to say them without the paper.
Read the first, second, and third objects.
Say them out loud until you are able to say them without the paper.
Repeat this process until you can say all the objects without the paper.
Once you are at end of the list, repeat the list without reading it. Say it aloud three times. If you cannot do it all three times, start all over.
After you think you have memorized it all, take a 10-20 minute break and do something that you will enjoy for that 20 minutes. This could be taking a walk, watching TV, talking on the phone, etc.
Come back and test yourself again through the whole thing if you get it all right, you probably have it. If not work on the sections you are having trouble with. Take another 10-20 minute break and come back again.
If you are still having trouble, try creating a mnemonic device.
Tips
First of all don't get stressed, getting stressed just makes it harder
Work in sections and create goals for yourself. Memorize one section, then reward yourself and keep going.
Say stuff out loud. It sounds ridiculous, but saying stuff out loud helps your brain process it, so that it is easier to memorize.
This is best done BEFORE sleeping. It will most probably be fresher when you wake up.
Patience, patience, patience.
If you're trying to memorize something short, write it out on a note card and put the note card in a place you see often. Whenever you see it, try to say it, or at least read it.
Sometimes it works if you type them or write them down while saying them.
If you have a lot of things you need to memorize, write them out on flash cards, and go through them often (or like me, you can also use the website http://www.wannano.org). If you get one wrong, review it, and once you get it right, put it back in the middle of the pile. If you get one right the first time, put it in the back of the pile.
You may want someone to help you memorize. They can participate by quizzing you, asking you questions, or having you recite the information for them.
Work in a quiet place where you can concentrate easily with no distractions.
If you have problems with motivation it can work for you if you give yourself a treat every time you achieve a goal. Have raisins or a biscuit for example after each memorized paragraph.
Try not to sit in the same room to memorize the two things. Your brain tries to subconsciously relate what you're memorizing to things around you. When you have to know it, chances are that these objects will not be around you.
Use Quizlet, the most useful memorization tool on the Internet. Warnings
Use the bathroom before studying. When you need the toilet in the middle of studying, it's most inconvenient!
Don't eat while you work. It will distract you, no matter how much protein that apple has. Most people will only pay attention to one thing; either the studying, or the food. If you pay attention to the food, you won't get your work done. If you pay attention to the studying, you will get your work done.
Take short, frequent breaks. It is best to exercise during these breaks, not watch 10 minutes of TV. Exercising will stimulate your brain, and you will work better when you return, just be careful not to overdo it.
its qiaomei again! lols. this post is shorter right? sorry for the long post! i'll try to post shorter from right now. lols. so, the prelims are over. how do u feel? are u satisfied with ur math result?
#18:How to have fun while studying.
Thursday, August 21, 2008 3:33 PM
How to have fun while studying.
If you find studying boring and difficult, there are ways to change your mind. From making your environment more conducive to enjoying the study, to finding ways to help improve your concentration, studying can be made more interesting ... and yes, even fun! Here are some tips to get you started.
Steps
Use music. Put some music that has doesn't have lyrics or words. Listen to it while you study. You might find that you can do anything while doing this, especially if it's music that you find very inspiring.
Keep snacks close. Get together some healthy snacks to nibble on as you study. Try not to have ones with lots of calories as you're not moving much while studying. Allowing yourself a little nibble every now and then helps the study time to pass more pleasantly.
Create an excellent study area. This is really important. You must feel like you "own" your little study space, whether it be a corner, a den or a whole room. Even if space is tight, you can arrange with family that a certain space is yours for study at certain hours, no matter what. Decorate your spot with favorite things like postcards, knick-knacks, figurines, notes from friends etc. Even temporary spaces can be decorated with bits and pieces you keep in a portable box. But, try not to make your study area too distracting. The less clutter in your study area, the better.
Provide good lighting and a comfortable chair which is at the right height for the desk. Nothing makes study more difficult than feeling uncomfortable as you sit and not being able to read the work properly.
Ensure adequate ventilation. Nothing sends a person to sleep faster than lack of air. Get fresh air into your room regularly - even in winter! Make sure it circulates, even if this means using a fan in winter to blow around warm air; this is better than stale, stagnant air.Have good temperature levels. Being too hot or too cold will make studying hard and you'll be tempted to crawl off to somewhere more comfortable. Turn the heating on or the cooling if you can. If you can't, then improvise and do what most students have always done to heat and cool: open or close windows & doors; use a red heat lamp at your feet (uses a lot less electricity); use a blanket; remove or put on extra layers; drink hot or cold drinks; put on a fan etc.
Get groovy stationery & desk gear. Your supplies can encorurage you to study - a pen that feels just right in your hand, paper that is so soft the pen glides over it, a bookstand that stops your book from slumping over, a row of colored highlighters begging to be used and a scented eraser that smells delicious. Think of the things that you enjoy having around you at study time and make these your little props for amusing yourself with during the study. Don't let them distract you from the study though!
Schedule time for study, time for play. Don't look at study as a never-ending process. Give it its timeslot and devote yourself to it during this times and then reward yourself with the things you really feel like doing afterwards. Use the study time effectively, don't doodle, feel sorry for yourself or call up friends. That just stretches out the pain and increases your lack of interest. Assign the tasks to be done, do them and then forget about it and go and do the other stuff that you feel like doing.
Look at your study from a different perspective. Maybe it's study in an area you really dislike or you just don't care about. Try to think outside the actual pages before you and put the topic into a wider perspective. Think of the sorts of careers people have using this study topic; think of how everyday problems are solved using the techniques that the study is requiring of you. This can help to enliven otherwise dull matter and can also impress a teacher if you show how this knowledge applies elsewhere in some way. It demonstrates application to the topic in spite of your reservations. And hopefully, it also helps to chase away the boredom of it.
Realize that study is about more than the topic before you. Sure, it might not grab you the same way that a basketball game outdoors would or a TV show you're missing because of the study. All the same, you're learning coping skills. You're learning how to prioritize, how to be patient and how to deal with something you don't like or feel disinterested in. Perhaps it doesn't feel like it at the time but these are some of life's most important skills because you'll come up against the temptation to fall into boredom many times - during work, a meeting, ceremonies, even parties! You're also learning about the general way the world works and where you might best slot into it yourself. How can you be sure you do or don't want to do things in life unless you know about them first?
Get a pet to encourage you! If you have a household friend, such as a cat or a fish, you can have them around you as you study. Purring cats provide a great source of rhythmical comfort that can ease the studying time and a fish swimming around and around can do wonders for reminding you that it's worth studying so that you can become a bigger fish in a sea of many.
Take breaks. Frequent, short breaks are better for you and your thinking processes than infrequent, long breaks. Set an alarm on your computer or on a clock to go off every half hour and go for a stretch, get a coffee or milkshake, see what the weather's like outside. No matter how old you are, try to make your material into a game. It works so well. If you have a younger brother or sister, let them help you. Make up a song or a rap about your material. You would be surprised by how much it helps.
If you are doing word problems in math, change the problem to make it more interesting or even a bit silly. For example: Beth has 5 apples. If she goes to the apple orchard and picks 5 times the amount of apples she already has, but drops 3 on the way home how many apples she have now? Isn't that a boring problem? You CAN make it more interesting...For example: Mr. Gidget has 5 bubbles. He goes to the magical bubble island and his friend Mr. Gadget gives him 5 times the amount of bubbles he already has. If Mr. Gidget drops 3 of the bubbles into a pit filled with needles, how many bubbles does he have? Isn't that better? If you use funny names, objects you like, or made-up places, the problem is 10 times more interesting, making it more likely that you will solve it.
If you like music, create a short song about the general points of what you're studying. If you don't have time to make a song, search youtube. Chances are is there will be some sort of relevant song. You might want to start with the Animaniacs. If you just sing their songs to yourself it can help you to ace that test! Be sure to print out the lyrics to the songs and make it a point to sing the song at least once a night so you'll remember it.
Make flash cards. The best site on the internet to make flashcards on is Quizlet. When making your flashcards, always do the term in capital letters and the definition in lowercase letters. Using different handwriting, colors, and decorating your flashcards will help you remember them. Be sure that you actually USE your flashcards. Just making them won't do anything for you at all.
Go over your notes and draw pictures. For example, If one of your notes is "Ohio produces more cheese than Wisconsin", draw some cheese and a picture of Ohio smiling and Wisconsin frowning. This works really well if you are a visual learner.
If you are reading your textbook, use funny accents or weird voices. It is also good if you record yourself and listen to the recording at least once every night.
Use mnemonic devices. For example, the 5 great lakes = HOMES (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior) However, make them creative so that you can easily remember them. A creative one that I have heard for remebering the eight levels of classification is Dumb King Philip Came Over From Greece Sneezing (Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species)
If you need to study for a spelling test, eat alphabet cereal in the morning! Have a parent or sibling read a word from your list to you. If you spell the word correctly with the cereal, you can eat it!
Grab a friend that is goofy but can be serious and create a skit. This works especially well for social studies (you can re-enact the pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock, for example) and Language Arts (Enact the ending or one of the key points to whatever book you're reading. Be sure that you say exactly what the characters in the book say, even if it sounds cheesy)
Pretend you're a teacher and create a test or quiz that you can take yourself. Have a parent or older sibling that didn't take the test grade it. If you feel confident, you can grade it yourself. If you have to take a test on some boring book in English class, try replacing the characters in the story with characters from video games, TV shows, or characters from any other forms of media if you can. This makes the material a LOT more interesting.
Tips
Things not to do during a study break:
Check e-mails - you'll end up answering them instead
Check on brothers, sisters, parents etc. - you'll end up chatting and getting waylaid
Phoning friends - you'll chat for ages /Play games (video, ball, board, miniatures etc.) - you'll just get involved in them and forget to return
Switching on the TV - you'll end up watching it
If you're having a really hard time settling into a study routine, speak with someone at school or university about it who is trained in study skills; they will have a lot of tricks to help you. Also look around your study space and assess it for distractions - is there too much noise, too much clutter, too many people wandering through without warning, inadequate light, cooking smells etc? Try to find the problems that distract you and either eliminate or reduce them.
If you are finding a subject boring because you are struggling with it, seek help from a tutor, older brother or sister, a parent, a friend or anyone you can trust to help you to learn it more easily. At college/university level, you may need to assess deeply if you have made the right choice or whether it would be better to change subjects or even courses. Don't despair - there is always help.
Visit the library if your study is boring because you miss the presence of people around you. The general hubbub of others in the background can be a great sense of reassurance and motivation to some students. Plus, you can grab those old-fashioned things called books straight off the shelves and add your new-found knowledge to your studies!
Healthy study snacks include raisins, sunflower seeds, dark chocolate pieces, dried cranberries, small crackers, cheese pieces, home-made cookies (in moderation!), jello, fruit, vegetables sticks such as celery/carrot, hummus dip, homemade popcorn (not microwave!)etc. Occasional lapses for times of severe stress (i.e., exams & essay due dates): small amounts of chocolate bars, store bought cookies, chips & slices of cake. All in moderation, of course, and regular, healthy meals must be maintained for the sake of your health.
Warnings
For music: you can get too much into it and pay more attention to the rhythm than the study. Turn it off if this is happening to you. Not everyone can tolerate music or noise while they study.
Don't overeat to reduce stress and get adequate sleep during times of cramming, swotting etc. No need to make yourself ill - it's another of life's lessons about taking everything in your stride and coping well.
Don't get down over study hurdles. Everyone has mental blocks, gets fed up and needs for time-out from any activity, even for a period of time. Be gentle on yourself, take a break and get yourself back together again before you give up on your studies. Also, seek assistance if you have special learning disabilities; there are excellent, trained assistants in many schools and universities on call to help out. Have faith - they're there to help you, not to tell you that you can't do it.
Don't ever promise yourself you'll just watch one show, just listen to one song, just check one email, or "just do one" anything. You'll end up losing track of time and get hooked into the TV, Ipod, emails, or whatever it is.
qiaomeiqiaomeiqiaomeiqiaomeiqiaomei here :DD i hope the above information helps even though it sounds abit ridiculous. The exams are coming so i doubt you will have time to do flash cards or whatsoever. i'll be posting other study/exams tips tomorrow. so, yeah. look out for that xD
#17: Synthesis
Wednesday, August 6, 2008 4:04 PM
hey mountain tortoises,
remember what madam choong always reminds us about the synthesis thing? let's recab !
1) People around the world use Computers. The use of _____________________________.
answer should be : The use of Computers is common around the world.
why is it IS? As the sentence is actually refering to ' the use of ' and not ' computer '. so got it?
and, lest exams appear such word, beware ! they can be rather tricky.
- no sooner ... then - not only ... but also - provided/providing - since - lest ( in case ) - in case - only if / if only - supposing/suppose - whereas - before - consequently - hence/ therefore - in addition ( to ) - likewise - accordingly - furthermore
that's all for today ! byes ;D
#16:Solution to Math Question
3:56 PM
dear mountain tortoises?
okay; the solution to the maths question goes like that.
PP, remember Mdm Choong's talking on the 2012 Doomsday? Well, here's some add-ons to it. Click here for the website which might be quite useful to all your curiousity in knowing more about the 2012, 21 Dec, 11 pm future.
Some of the most popular space-based threats to the Earth and mankind focus on Planet X wiping most life off the planet, meteorite impacts, black holes, killer solar flares, Gamma Ray Bursts from star systems, a rapid ice age and a polar (magnetic) shift. There is so much evidence against these things happening in 2012, it's shocking just how much of a following they have generated. Each of the above "threats" needs their own devoted article as to why there is no hard evidence to support the hype.
#14:Maths Question
2:25 PM
Hello Patient People(PP)! I'm just wondering, if anyone of you can solve this irregular and tough MCQ question.
It goes like this: 2,5,17,71,x,2159 Study the above number pattern. Find the value of X. 1)142 2)171 3)359 4)426
Especially for the Mathematics professionals.!! You know who. NK[no F] :)
#13:why does kettle whistle when the water boils?
Monday, July 14, 2008 6:36 PM
hey all. qiaomei here :D Have you all ever wondered why does the kettle whistle when the water boils? Apparently, my friend had and she decided to find out the answer. Here is what she found out, hope this will be useful xD
As the water begins to boil, steams form inside the kettle. As more and more steam is produce, the presuure starts to build. Once the presuure is high enough, the steam escapes through the kettle with sufficient force to blow the whistle and produce the sound.
So, this whistle remind users to 'TURN OFF THE FIRE!' :DD
that's the end of my posting. Hope this will satisfied the curious patienians. Please do tell me if my above explanation is wrong. I'll be glad to find out more :DDD

#10:WHAT other schools pupils do to improve.
Wednesday, May 28, 2008 10:37 PM
Dear beloved 6Patience :] ;; LOL. Let's start the talk now. HOW EXACTLY OTHER SCHOOL PUPILS DO TO IMPROVE? lala ~ well, i am also not quite sure. I have been pondering confusely ; but still can't get the answer :] nevermind Howeveri got some of their tips from .. can't say the school or people, or I'll get killed. =P first of all, I bet you guys might not be satisfied for your SA1 results. It's normal. Just get along happily, ( with doubts ) as in questions to ask your teachers any time you feel like. I bet teachers will be williing to help you solve your problems too! Okay, I realised that other school pupils are usually more mature, ( and that's wad we should learn from ). They're much more diligent than us. Their teachers would give them concepts to memorise. They're respectful, responsible for their work. Although i had also realised that they have alot of spare time in their daily lives, but i can foresee that they use them carefully like using the computer for researchs and reading a book. I had just recently visited one of my friend's house. First, I looked around her house. totally a different feeling. I noticed her room was filled with books - storybooks. Most were Enid Blyton ~ but still, make sure you enjoy the book too. and when i was there, she was still doing her homework. Communicate more. ( not in class !) Communicate with perfect language. Try to use the new words which you had just learned from practise papers or books. In class, pay 100% attention to the teacher. It's even more useful then going to 10 times tution! Most importantly, believe that you can do it. Make sure that you're on the right track. Go for motivations and try the hardest you can in anything you do. No matter what, we should try our best and achieve the best we can! If other people can do it, there isn't any possible reason that we 6Patience can't do it! B Y E S and have a N I C E day :)
#09:managing exam stress.
Tuesday, May 27, 2008 10:19 PM
YOZ!first time posting on this blog :X nervous. anyway, qiaomei here =D With heavy schoolwork, CCAs, as well as classes to atted, examinations can seem very stressful and scary. Here are some useful tips to beat the stress when preparing for the exams!
PLAN YOUR TIME! Draw up a plan and stick to it. Having a plan will help you finish your revision in time, and you will not feel so stressed.
ASK FOR HELP! Ask your teacher if you don't understand a topic during revision. If you are feeling down, do talk to your parents, friends or teachers. You're not alone, so don't feel that you have to be.
EXERCISE! Exercise is a great way to give yourself a break, and you will find that you feel better after that, too.
TEST YOURSELF! Test yourself or get someone to test you on your notes. Ask your sibling or friend to test you, or you can ask your parents to do so too. Testing yourself helps you to remember better, making the actual exam alot less stressful.
GET ENOUGH REST! Take a 5 minute break after every 15-30 minute of studying. Make sure you get enough sleep as well, even if you are busy with revision.
that's all! if you have anymore tips, please tell nelly so she can add your tips in. please contribute~
